Dec 29, 2019

In the Almalyk branch of the Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov information on training costs The spread of coronavirus infection has also made a significant difference in human behavior, thoughts, and worldviews.

The epidemiological situation that has arisen around the world has necessitated the reform of many aspects. There is a growing need to adapt to the times as quickly as possible, to organize the digitization of the entire system, to work in an online format.

It is no secret that in the context of a pandemic, the role of information technology in our lives is important, and we feel the need to take a few steps forward in this regard. Even in this situation, there have been positive changes, innovations and conveniences in the education system. The emergency forced us to adapt quickly to the new conditions and to work on special procedures. Not only Uzbekistan, but all educational institutions around the world have used the experience of distance learning. In order to maintain the health and convenience of students, a number of processes have been transferred to electronic form.

The Almalyk branch of the Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov has launched distance learning platforms to continue the educational process from the second semester of the 2019/2020 academic year, to enable students to complete the academic year (course) and to provide methodological support for their educational activities.

In a short period of time, a lot of work has been done, both technically and on the formation of software and resources. Of course, this is based on financial costs, and in the world experience, the organization of the educational process in a new format requires a lot of resources in the early stages. After all, our goal is to ensure that students receive the necessary knowledge through the methodological support of the educational process.

Practical training was also conducted remotely, depending on the characteristics of the sciences. Laboratory work, which could not be done remotely, was scheduled to take place after the end of the pandemic. Also, students who for some reason did not receive distance education are given the opportunity to continue their studies in the traditional way and master the subjects after the end of the pandemic, that is, these students will have the opportunity to continue their studies in the next year.

Training at the Almalyk branch of the Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov is carried out on a voluntary basis in accordance with the current procedure by mutual agreement. At the same time, students must master the lessons in a timely manner in accordance with the normative requirements of higher education, the terms of the contract signed by them, in turn, educational institutions must create the necessary conditions for them to receive quality education. Expenses related to the education of students studying on the basis of a state grant are covered by the state budget, contract payments to students studying on a contract basis.

Recently, the issue of revising the amount of tuition-based training on social networks has been at the center of discussions. In order to make it clearer to our compatriots, we will give specific examples of the minimum cost of education in higher education without excessive comments, and we will leave the conclusion to our compatriots. Today in the Almalyk branch of TSTU named after Islam Karimov in the form of full-time education in the field of undergraduate education, the cost of one year of training per student

In particular, 7.9 million soums (94.04% of the total cost) for salaries of teachers, staff and social payments of the employer, 1.6 million soums for other current maintenance costs (19.04% of the total cost) ) of which 0.9 million soums for utilities (10.7% of total expenditures).

In practice, the basic payment-contract amount (without stipend)

6.4 million soums, which is 77% of the current storage costs. The analysis shows that students studying on the basis of each basic fee-contract pay less than the minimum tuition fees by 2.0 million soums. These costs are covered by higher education institutions ("super") contracts and the state budget.

For information: the calculations apply to more than 80% of students studying on a fee-for-service basis at the Almalyk branch of the Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov. The above analysis shows that the bulk of the branch’s expenses fall on the salaries of faculty and staff. The established basic payment-contract amounts are not enough to cover salaries

During the quarantine restrictions announced in connection with the pandemic in the country, all faculty and staff of the branch are paid salaries in the prescribed manner, including scholarships for students.

From April 1, 2020, professors and teachers switched to distance learning mode, passed the prescribed lessons online on the basis of approved science programs, and completed the prescribed teaching and methodological loads. Due to the introduction of distance (online) education for students in connection with quarantine, additional technical and methodological support was created for its organization.

Regardless of the form in which the new academic year begins: whether traditional or distance, the branch administration is working to ensure that students receive a quality education. We consider it expedient to provide information about the activities carried out in the Almalyk branch of TSTU in preparation for the 2020-2021 academic year.

Each student studying in educational institutions is given a trust by the administration of the institution with an individual approach. The teaching staff of the Almalyk branch of TSTU mobilizes all available opportunities in the higher education system to ensure that they become qualified professionals, while respecting the choice of our young people who want to get a higher education.
