History of the department
The history of the Department of Mining Electromechanics begins in the 60s of the 20th century. At that time, large deposits of minerals - non-ferrous metals were discovered in Uzbekistan and the construction of concentrating factories and metallurgical plants began, including the Almalyk mining and metallurgical plant, the Navoi mining and metallurgical plant, the Bekabad metallurgical plant, the Chirchik plant for the production of refractory and refractory metals and development of Chodak, Angren, Marzhonbulak and other deposits belonging to the Uzbekoltin association. The training of specialists - engineers of miners, ore concentrators, metallurgists, mining power engineers and mechanics to work at these deposits, factories and plants was entrusted to the Mining and Metallurgical Faculty of the Tashkent Polytechnic Institute, originally founded in the city of Almalyk. At this faculty, the departments “Electrification and Automation of Mining Industrial Development (EAGPR)” and “Mining Machines and Equipment (GMO)” were created, at the opening of which II Inagamov, Zh.S. Dzhaimugammedov, A.A. Yusupkhodzhaev, M.M. Kholmatov, A.M. Mutalov, S.A. Anarboev and others. At various times the department was referred to as “Electrification and automation of mining industrial developments”, “Power supply of mining enterprises”, “Mining electromechanics”, “Electrical engineering, electromechanics and electrotechnology”, “Electrical engineering and electromechanics” and headed the department A.M. Mutalov, S. A. A. Anarboev, M. U. Muminov, G. E. Raikhanova, S. T. Ganiev. By the decision of the Council of the Almalyk branch of the Tashkent State Technical University dated 09/04/2020 and by the order of the director of the Almalyk branch No. 01 / 9-05-137 dated 04/17/2021, the Department of Electrical Engineering and Electromechanics was divided into two departments “Electrical Engineering and Electromechanics” and “Mining Electromechanics ”. At present, the head of the department "Mining electromechanics" is Ph.D., associate professor Dauletbek Amanovich Rismukhamedov. D.A.Rismukhamedov from the first days of his activity, paid special attention to improving the quality of education, developing international relations, increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of scientific activity. Under the leadership of D.A. Rismukhamedov, on the basis of the new requirements, working curricula and subject programs were developed, reflecting new teaching technologies based on advanced world experience for the educational direction "Mining Electromechanics". Currently, the department "Mining Electromechanics" employs 5 associate professors, 3 senior teachers and 6 assistants. From the very beginning of its activities and to this day, the department effectively cooperates with industrial enterprises - partners: JSC "Almalyk MMC", JSC "Akhangaroncement", JSC "CHP", JSC "Tashkent CHP", etc. The department carries out coursework (projects) , graduation qualification works, research studies within the framework of technological problems of partner enterprises, and this, in turn, enables independent researchers, doctoral students to more effectively engage in scientific work. For example, at the production enterprises of JSC "Almalyk MMC" students undergo introductory, qualification, pre-diploma practice and practical, laboratory classes are carried out directly on the operating equipment of the enterprises. The faculty of the department closely cooperates with the main specialists of JSC "Almalyk MMC", jointly solving the scientific and technical problems of production and the educational and methodological complex. Members of the department take an active part in scientific conferences held by the Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov. The following tasks are identified as the main directions for the further activities of the department: improving the quality of the educational process on the basis of the advanced experience of reputable foreign higher educational institutions in the implementation of the credit-modular system in the educational process; advanced training of the teaching staff of the department in mastering foreign languages and ensuring the receipt of national and international certificates in this direction; raising the level of projects implemented at the department within the framework of business contracts, international and state programs within the framework of technological problems of enterprises in the industry; meaningful organization of students' leisure and improving the activities of the "Electromechanic" circle; increasing the involvement of the teaching staff of reputable foreign higher educational institutions and research centers in order to improve the quality of the educational process. To date, 489 bachelors are studying at the department in the direction 5312200 "Mining Electromechanics".
