The growing globalization process today shows how important it is to train highly educated people working in the state language. Therefore, according to the letter of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education dated November 21, 2019, No. 87-04-2665, in order to train personnel with high potential in the state language in enterprises and organizations in higher education institutions " In order to take measures to establish the department of "Uzbek language and literature", the following changes and additions were made to the structure of the department of "Social Sciences and Humanities" of the Almalyk branch of the Tashkent State Technical University. According to the decision of the Almalyk branch of the Tashkent State Technical University, the scientific capacity of the departments will be increased. A new department was created on the first working day of January 2020, combining Uzbek, foreign languages and Russian, taking into account their features in the formation of the structure of departments and the name of the new department "Uzbek language and literature" called. Since its inception, the department is headed by Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor BI Kayumov.
Department of "Uzbek language and literature" for the 2020-2021 academic year, the Law on Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the concept of development of the higher education system of the Republic of Uzbekistan until 2030 and the development of higher education activities were planned on the basis of presidential decrees. The department has a work plan, curriculum, science programs, working curricula.
By the 2021 academic year, the department has a total of 15 professors and teachers. In particular, 14 professors and teachers work in the main staff (6 professors and teachers work on the basis of 0.25 full-time positions) and 1 teacher works on the basis of 0.5 part-time positions. The department has 1 acting professor Daniyorov BH, 2 associate professors ZD Mirzakarimova, BI Kayumov, 3 senior teachers: MN Kasimova, VA Ahmedova, UR Irgasheva, 8 assistants and 1 external assistant. The scientific potential of the department is 25%. The department has all the normative documents. The department of "Uzbek language and literature" is responsible for such subjects as Uzbek language, Russian language, foreign language, the use of Uzbek language in the field and methods of teaching special subjects. The work of scientific potential and the tasks assigned on its basis are carried out in a timely manner. The number of textbooks on scientific and methodological work of the department is 6 and 1 monograph. Regarding the research work of professors and teachers of the department, the total number of articles in national scientific journals and abstracts at national conferences is more than 35, the number of abstracts in international conferences is more than 10 and the total number of articles in international scientific journals is about 35. The number of indexes in the Web of Science database is 3.
In order to attract talented students to research work, the department has "Young Reader" (ZDMirzakarimova), "Russian Grammar" (GGRahmonova), "Smart students club" (ARMamataliyeva) and "We speak English" (MIDehkonova) circles. In the circle, students and teachers work together to increase their knowledge of science and develop the skills of writing scientific articles.
It is attached to all areas of education in the Almalyk branch of Tashkent State Technical University named after I.Karimov. It is designed for full-time, part-time and part-time education. Academic degree - "Bachelor".
