Department of Electrical Engineering and Electromechanics.

The Department of Mining and Mining Electromechanics of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Faculty was established by the order of the rector of the institute No. 1/61 dated June 1, 2004 and began its activities on September 1, 2004.

The first person to head this department in 2003-2006 was Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Abdukhamid Mutalovich Mutalov. From 2006-2011, the department was headed by Senior Lecturer Sultan Akkulovich Anarboev.

In 2011-2015, the head of the department was Senior Lecturer Makhmudzhon Umurzakovich Mominov.

The Department of Mining and Mining Electromechanics, in accordance with the order of the rector of the institute dated 09.07.08 No. 1/150, was divided into separate departments of Mining and Mining Electromechanics. Since 2011, the direction “Mining Electromechanics” was renamed to “Electrical Engineering, Electromechanics and Electrotechnology” in accordance with the order of the Ministry.

From January 2015 to August 2017, the Department of “Electrical Engineering, Electromechanics and Electrotechnology” was headed by PhD Raikhanova Galiya Eleubaevna.

From September 2017 to March 2024 and to the present, the head of the Department of “Electrical Engineering and Electromechanics” is Ganiev Sarvar Tursunboy ugli.

From March 2024 to the present, the head of the Department of “Electrical Engineering and Electromechanics” is Raikhonov Shukhrat Zaripovich.

To date, the Department of “Electrical Engineering and Electromechanics” employs 1 professor, 2 associate professors, 2 senior lecturers and 4 assistants. The department has established partnerships with mining industry organizations. In particular, the chief specialists of Almalyk MMC JSC provide students of the department with in-depth knowledge based on their activities. The teaching staff of the department works in a coordinated manner to solve problems arising at the department. In recent years, young personnel have been recruited to the department. Members of the department take an active part in scientific conferences organized by the Almalyk branch of the Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov and other higher education institutions.

Today, the department trains bachelors in full-time, evening and correspondence courses in the areas of 60710700 “Electrical Engineering, Electromechanics and Electrical Technology” and 60710600 “Electric Power Engineering (Power Supply of Industrial Enterprises)”.

Scientific works carried out at the department:

Every year, the faculty of the department regularly conducts scientific research and publishes scientific articles. Since the foundation of the department, there have been patents and copyright certificates for inventions. In recent years, patents for inventions have been received, the results of scientific research have been introduced into production. To date, the faculty of the department carries out the following work:

In order to carry out scientific research on the topic “Creation of an electric drive for turbomechanisms, belt conveyors and ball mills based on motors with pole-switchable windings” according to the draft of paragraph 66 of Appendix 7a of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PP 307 dated July 6, 2022, a temporary creative team (TCT) “MELNITSA” was created under the leadership of Ph.D., Acting Professor Rismukhamedov Dauletbek Amanovich.

Over the past year (2023), the faculty of the department Muminov Mahmudjon Umurzakovich and Yuldoshov Khusniddin Ergashovich were able to obtain the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).

Head of the department Ganiev Sarvar Tursunboy ugli completed his dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), the defense of the dissertation is expected in the coming days.

Assistant of the department Khusanov Shahobiddin Khairullo ugli conducts scientific research as a doctoral student.

Four assistants of the department: Sotiboldiev A.Yu., Shodiev O.A., Uralov Zh.T. and Khamdamov A.O. are currently in the process of approving the scientific supervisor and the main topics of the scientific work.

Instructional manual:

The department trains specialists in two bachelor’s degree programs: 60710700 – “Electrical Engineering, Electromechanics and Electrical Technology” and 60710600 – “Electric Power Engineering (Power Supply of Industrial Enterprises)”. The faculty of the department has published 3 textbooks, 3 monographs and methodological manuals for students studying in these areas of education to acquire basic knowledge and skills.

GENERAL CLASSIFICATION OF BACHELOR’S AND MASTER’S DEGREE AREAS:
