History of the department:

Safarov Utkir Ochildievich – Head of the Department in 2017-2018.

2. Mamatkulov Nematillo Narzullaevich worked as the Head of the Department in 2018-2022.

3. Pulatov Golibjon Murodovich worked as the Head of the Department in 2022-2023.

4. From September 2023 to the present, Parmonov Sarvar Toshpulatovich has been the Head of the Department.

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh. Mirziyoyev pays great attention to the development of production and industry in the Tashkent region, including providing production with specialized personnel on the basis of the Decree of July 27, 2017. By Decision No. PP-3153, the Almalyk branch of the Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov was established in the city of Almalyk. Currently, 11 full-time professors work at the Department of Chemical Technology. Of these, 2 doctors of technical sciences, professors A.G. Nimchik and M.M. Karimov, 4 associate professors S.T. Parmonov, G.Kh. Yusupova, M.A. Khoshimkhanova, N.Kh. Kuchkarova, 3 senior lecturers G.M. Pulatov, M. Ochilov, Sh.I. Shonazarova and 2 assistants D.R. Tursunova, A.D. Kambarov. The scientific potential of the department is 54.54%.

The department has established cooperation with the enterprises of Ammofos-Maxam JSC and Almalyk GMK JSC. Leading specialists of these enterprises share their knowledge and skills with students. The employees of the department actively participate with their scientific articles in scientific and practical conferences held at the national and international levels. In particular, they actively participated in international conferences held in the republics of India, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.

Scientific work carried out at the department:

Today, the department implements grants and business contracts on the topics of “Development and implementation of polymeric medicinal products for use in veterinary practice”, “Creation of technology for obtaining modified polymer-bitumen products based on obsolete rubber products”, etc.

A number of scientific works are carried out by professors and teachers of the department. In particular, Parmonov Sarvar Toshpulatovich “Development of new technological principles for the production of corrosion-resistant hard alloys based on tungsten and cobalt carbides”, Khoshimkhanova Mukhayo Abralovna “Development of an effective technology for extracting CEM from technogenic waste using a hydrometallurgical method without compounds”, Yusupova Guzal Khusanovna “Technology for the production of bimetallic catalysts for the oil and gas industry and their scientific justification”, Pulatov Golibzhon Murodovich “Development of a technology for extracting hydrogen sulfide from acid gases contained in high-sulfur gases for ore enrichment”, Shonazarova Shakhnoza Isakulovna “Technology for gold mining enterprises for the regeneration of cyanide compounds from current residues”, Ochilov Mansur “Technology for the synthesis of active compounds by the reaction of chloroacetyl chloride with substituted benzoic acid”, Tursunova Dilshoda Rakhmitdinovna “Sorption and photocatalytic materials based on waste molybdenum and titanium oxides”, Kambarov Asadzhon Dilshod ugli “Complex processing of phosphorus, zinc and iron waste from the galvanic shop of the Mekhmash plant”, Mamatkulova Sadokat Olimovna conducts scientific research on the topic “Synthesis of metal complex compounds based on piperidine and their inclusion in polymer compounds”.
