The Almalyk branch of TSTU today cooperates with 17 higher educational institutions in 7 foreign countries. Cooperation agreements also specify the academic mobility of teachers.
On the initiative of the Department of Chemical Technology of the Faculty of Metallurgy and Chemical Technologies, Gaukhar Zakhievna Turebekova, a professor at the South Kazakhstan University named after Auezov, came to the branch. The professor is the author of more than 200 scientific articles (12 of them based on Scopus), 12 textbooks and teaching aids, 15 patents and 4 scientific grant projects, co-author of state standards of the Republic of Kazakhstan for compulsory education.
G.Turebekova is a specialist with extensive experience as a chemical engineer and deep knowledge. During the visit to the branch, I got acquainted with the research work carried out by the department in this area and exchanged opinions with the teaching staff. He also gave a lecture to the students on the topic “Green Chemistry”.
