Cooperation between a university and an industrial enterprise

At the initiative of the Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov and within the framework of cooperation with the Tashkent Pipe Plant named after V.L. Galperin, a scientific and practical seminar was held in the educational direction “Welding technology and equipment” and the master’s specialties “Technology and equipment of welding production”.

The seminar was attended by the Chairman of the Board of JSC “Uzmakhsusmontazhkurilish” A.X. Shodiev, the rector of TSTU, Doctor of Technical Sciences Professor S.M. Turabdzhanov, the director of the Tashkent Pipe Plant named after V.L. Galperin V.D. Sutsepina, as well as the heads of the Namangan Engineering and Construction Institute, Almalyk and Kokand branches of TSTU, representatives of the teaching staff of the departments and graduate students.

The Tashkent Pipe Plant named after V.L. Galperin today is one of the leading enterprises in the industrial sector of the republic. During the event, those gathered got acquainted with the production activities of the plant in welding, metal forming and metallurgical shops, as well as with the organization of dual training.
