Nuclear physics research in Uzbekistan began in the 40s of the last century, and developed rapidly by the 50s. The presence of highly qualified scientists in the country, as well as fruitful scientific research and practical developments of Uzbek scientists on the path of peaceful use of atomic energy, laid the foundation for the creation in 1956 of the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan. For more than 60 years of its existence, the institute has become a major research center recognized by the world scientific community in the field of nuclear physics and nuclear technology.
Today, the director of the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Academician Sadikov Ilkhom Ismailovich arrived at the Almalyk branch of TSTU and got acquainted with the activities of the branch.
