🔷The Almalyk branch of the Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov hosted a chess competition “Cup of the Head of the Almalyk City Tax Inspectorate” together with the city department of the Agency for Youth Affairs, AB TSTU and the city tax inspectorate.
🔷At the beginning of the competition, the director of the branch, Dr. Sc. Professor A. Samadov spoke and wished good luck to all participants. Guest of the competition, grandmaster Nodirbek Yakubov, winner of the Uzbekistan chess championship, champion of the 44th Chess Olympiad held in the Indian city of Chennai, winner of the Uzbekiston Iftikhori medal, spoke about the importance of chess in a person’s life and about his successes.
🔷The head of the tax inspectorate of the city of Almalyk, Ikhtiyor Aliyev, wished the participants good luck.
🔷Chess battles took place among about 200 chess fans aged from 7 to 70 years old who took part in the competition.
🔷The winning participants were awarded valuable prizes:
1st place – Orzikulov Umidzhon, student of the Almalyk branch of TDTU
2nd place – Humayun Rustamov – student of Tashkent State Economic University,
3rd place – Abdurakhmon Abdunazarov, worker of the 3rd copper processing plant of AGMK.
