Job responsibilities of the head of the educational and methodological department

  • Organization of department activities and employees’ work;
  • Drawing up work plans of the department and ensuring their execution;
  • Coordination of educational and methodological activities of deaneries, departments, departments in the branch;
  • Ensuring the implementation of the Laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan on education, Presidential Decrees, Orders, Decisions, Decisions of the Cabinet of Ministers, Decisions and orders of the Board of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, as well as the rector’s orders;
  • Participation in delivery of contents of Decrees and Decisions adopted by the President and Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan to departments, professors and teachers and students;
  • Control and coordination of the implementation of the decisions of the Council of the Branch, the central methodological board, the scientific councils of the faculties on the organization and provision of the educational process;
  • Participation in the organization and conduct of the State certifications of undergraduate students and the defense of graduation qualification works of graduate students;
  • Forming the activities of educational assistants and those in charge of educational work on the issues of ensuring the educational process;
  • Participation in the activities on job distribution and orientation of graduates of the branch;
  • Summarizing the reports of the dean’s offices for the academic year and compiling the annual general report of the institute on educational activities;
  • Compilation of “Working curriculum” and “Study schedule” for educational areas;
  • Forming and organizing the development of “Lesson schedules” of educational areas for the academic year;
  • Ensuring the preparation of annual and quarterly reports of the student contingent;
  • Formation of a contingent of in-service pedagogues and development of plans, training of pedagogues based on the Regulation “On the retraining of managers and pedagogues of higher education institutions and courses to improve their qualifications” approved by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 242 of August 20, 2015 to provide planned sending to institutes and centers;
  • Supervise the re-study of pedagogues who have not passed the final exams in training institutes and centers and provide information to the director about the results;
  • Participation in checking the legality and impartiality of awarding scholarships to students;
  • Participation in planned audits to ensure the transparency of the rating system for evaluating students’ knowledge;
  • To ensure the actual implementation of educational and methodical work set by professors-teachers in their annual personal plans;
  • Formation and organization of practical exercises, lectures, and training sessions by professors-teachers based on the established educational schedule and plan;
  • Analyzing the state of students’ academic debt and mastery and preparing appropriate proposals;
  • Thorough knowledge of information and communication technologies;
  • Compliance with the requirements of the branch’s internal procedures, rules of etiquette and dress code;
