Chairman of the city planning committee of Tashkent Technical Institute, YU.S. Petrosov, was appointed as a leader in 1958–1961. In the 1950s of the 20th century, the construction of large metallurgical plants in Uzbekistan was planned, and in the 1960s, the implementation of this plan will begin. In particular, the Almalyk mining and metallurgical combine, the Chodak, Angren, and Marjonbulak gold sorting factories under the “Uzbekgold” Association, and later the Navoi mining and metallurgical combine were built. During this period, the Bekabad metallurgical plant, a combine designed to produce chirping fire-resistant and difficult-melting metals (tungsten and molybdenum), was operating. The training of specialists—engineering metallurgists—for work in these factories had become a requirement of the period. This task is assigned to the Faculty of Mining within the Tashkent Polytechnic Institute (now Tashkent State Technical University). In this regard, applicants for the specialty “metallurgy of non-ferrous metals” were admitted to the evening department in Almalyk in 1961 and the full-time department in Tashkent in 1962, starting the training of engineering metallurgists. The dean of the faculty was Doc. U.A. Isomukhammedov, and the deputy dean was I.I. Inagamov. According to the order of the management, “to move higher educational institutions to places close to production enterprises,” the Faculty of Mining and Metallurgy within the Tashkent Polytechnic Institute will be transferred to the city of Almalyk in September 1963. After the transfer of the faculty to Almalyk U.A. Isomukhammedov was transferred to the post of pro-rector for educational affairs and transferred to the faculty in Almalyk in 1961, when A.P. Turchitz was appointed. In 1963–1967, the full-time, evening correspondence departments of the Almalyk mining metallurgical faculty were established, and the candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Ilham Inagamovich Inagamov, acted as dean.
In 1967, the full-time Department of the Almalyk Mining Metallurgical Faculty was transferred to Tashkent PI in the evening, where correspondence departments were carried out in Almalyk.
In 1967–1976, candidate of technical sciences Djaymagambetov Djetis Satkhalievich acted in the role of Dean.
1976–1981, Almalik MF again worked as dean candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Ilham Inagamovich Inagamov.
In 1981–1993, candidate for Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Yusupkhodjaev Anvar Abdullaevich, acted in the role of Dean.
In 1993–1995, candidate of technical sciences, associate professor Kholmatov Mirakhmad Makhamadovich, worked as a dean.
At the Almalyk mining metallurgical faculty, he worked from 1961 to 1995. A. In 1995, the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgy Faculty was transformed into the Almalyk State Technical College. In the 2000s, in order to provide the relevant departments of the rapidly developing mining and metallurgical sector of the industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan, mainly the Almalyk mining and metallurgical combination, and moreover, the mining and metallurgical sector of the industry of the Republic, the Almalyk Faculty of Mining and Metallurgy was established within the Navoi State Mining Institute. At that time, the following people took the initiative in organizing the faculty: academician of the Russian Academy of Mining Sciences, doctor of technical sciences B.R. Rimzhonov, doctor of technical sciences N.I. Kuchersky, doctor of technical sciences Q.S. Sanakulov, doctor of technical sciences, professor S.A. Abdurakhmanov, doctor of technical sciences YU.J. Norov, doctor of technical sciences U.F. Nasirov, Associate Professor R.M. Karshiyev, Associate Professor A.M. Mutalov, and the first dean of the faculty, doctor of technical sciences A.S. Khasanovs. On the basis of the proposals of the general director of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine and the chairman of the city of Almalyk, as well as the statement of the 4th session of the state commission “on admission to educational institutions” of July 18, 2001, and the decision of the Scientific Council of the Navoi State Mining Institute of 27, Associate Professor Khasanov A. as dean of the faculty.
