Students of AB TSTU in the Writers’ Park

Faculty and students of the Almalyk branch of the Tashkent State Technical University held an event entitled “The Jadid Movement and Youth” at Adiblar Hiyoboni (Writers’ Park) in the capital to honor the memory of the figures of the Jadid movement who left an indelible mark on history and remember their contributions to development of the nation.

The Jadids, enlightened people of the last century, who strived for freedom of society and enlightenment of people, were the true sons of our people. The main goal of the Jadid movement was to liberate society from medieval vices, cultural backwardness and colonial oppression, from ignorance, leading the people to modern development and creating the foundations of national statehood.

Today the Jadid movement is recognized as a socio-political movement, its merits are recognized. Jadid literature is valued as an integral part of national culture, dozens of books and various works are published, and numerous charitable projects are implemented. In recent years, good ideas that have been the dream of the Jadids for centuries have been realized.

The event was attended by Doctor of Philology A. Pirimkulov, Doctor of Philosophy in Political Science B. Dzhamiev, Doctor of Philosophy in Philology V. Akhmedova, who shared their thoughts on the essence of the Jadid movement and its significance in the education of youth.

Also at the event, 7 students who won book competitions held in the branch were awarded 200 books.
