Science and education: situation, problems and development prospects

As part of the “Month of Science – 2024”, on the initiative of the Almalyk branch of the Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov and Kokshetau University named after Abai Mirzkhametov, a round table was organized.

The online round table was attended by professors from Akdeniz University (Turkey), Royal International University (Mongolia), Tuva State University FDBOTM (Russian Federation), Kyrgyz-Kazakh University (Kyrgyz Republic), teachers, graduate students and students.

From Uzbekistan, the Deputy Director for Research and Innovation, Professor D. Kholikulov and the Head of the Department of Chemical Technologies, Associate Professor S. Parmonov spoke at the round table.

Issues of increasing the competitiveness of education and science at the global level, education and upbringing of people based on universal human values, and increasing the contribution of science to socio-economic development caused a heated discussion among the participants.

In addition, from the point of view of transformations, planning of the teaching load, technology for creating electronic textbooks, prospects for the development of advanced engineering schools, etc. were considered.

At the end of the round table, the participants emphasized the importance of developing joint research for the development of science and education.
